We start our tour by traveling south, through Naples and past Mount Vesuvius to arrive in Sorrento, often referred to as the Gateway to the Amalfi Coast. Located on the Sorrentine Peninsula, Sorrento is perched atop cliffs on the coast which make for stunning views of the sea and unrivaled sunsets. After arriving at our accommodation that evening, you’re free to explore the quaint downtown bars and restaurants.
The next morning, we depart for the island of Capri. Traveling by private boat transfer, you will get your first look at the glistening blue waters and coastline. After a boat cruise around the island and your chance to see the Blue Grotto, our 4.0 Tours guides will lead you up to the very top of the island. We’ll stop in Capri Town for a fresh-squeezed orange granita before reaching Anacapri where you can get your custom leather Italian sandals while you sip limoncello. Be sure to take the chair lift up to the very top of the island, Mount Solaro, for sweeping views. We’ll travel back to Sorrento later that afternoon.
Next on our list is the coastal town of Positano, famous for the colorful stacked houses built into the cliffs. We will travel there by private cruise, where we stop at a secluded beach for swimming. After arriving in Positano, you’re free to spend your day on the black-sand beaches, shop the narrow streets for local souveniers, or rent a boat or paddleboard. Later that afternoon, we head back to Sorrento for the evening.
The following day we head to our final destination for the weekend, the world-famous ruins of Pompeii. Explore the UNESCO World Heritage site and experience how the ancient ruins come alive as the tour guide paints a picture of daily life in the Roman city. We travel back to your departure city later that afternoon.
