Our tour heads to Florence, the city that is credited as the birthplace of the Renaissance, via private luxury coach to our accommodation. Once we have dropped off our luggage, we have lunch at one of our favorite local spots before beginning a guided walking tour where you’ll learn the history of the famous sights and piazzas. A few notable stops on the tour include the Duomo, Piazza Santa Croce and the Ponte Vecchio. Afterwards, we visit the Galleria dell’Accademia which houses the infamous Michangelo’s David. The evening is yours to explore the magical city or join our optional family-style dinner. \n\nThe following day, art history students will visit the Museo Nazionale del Bargello, a former barracks and prison dating back to 13th Century that is now used as a renowned art museum. The remainder of the group will have a free morning to explore Florence, our guides can provide a variety of recommendations for various interests. Later that day, there will be an optional evening in Tuscany, with a trip to San Gimignano and the surrounding wineries. \n\nFor our final day in Florence, we visit the world famous Uffizi Gallery, which is home to the Botticelli’s Birth of Venus, amongst other priceless pieces of art. We’ll depart via private transportation in the late afternoon back to your destination city.
